Tian Di by Frassai

Tian Di is a perfume inspired by the Peaches of Immortality tended by Xiwangmu in Chinese mythology. Xiwangmu is the highest ranking and most powerful female deity in the Chinese pantheon. She determines the lifespan of every living thing. On her birthday, Xiwangmu invites all of the immortals in heaven to a party and gives each of them a peach so that they can continue living eternal lives.

Tian Di is one of those perfumes that defies all attempts at classification. It’s wonderfully multi-faceted; smelling of rich, honeyed peaches, sandalwood, incense, anise and greenly bitter florals that all merge together seamlessly. It’s made by perfumer Olivier Gillotin who created Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille and all four of the perfumes from Ford’s Vert series as well as Ralph Lauren’s Polo Red, Lavandes Trianon for Lancome’s Grand Crus line and Balenciaga’s Cristobal.

Like all of the perfumes in Frassai’s collection, Tian Di has an air of refinement, elegance and innate good taste, while also maintaining a warm approachability and easy-going luxury. Tian Di in particular is probably the most bohemian in Frassai’s lineup, but it's bohemian aesthetic boasts a wardrobe full of Etro.
