Blue Monday - Beat the Blues

Blue Monday - Beat the Blues

It’s here, the most dreary day of the year. Blue Monday. This time of year can be tough for many and today is the day deemed most likely to be a bit of a struggle.

Here at HOOHAA HQ we're not exempt and so we've pulled together, HOOHAA’s Top Tips for Beating the Blues

Get some fresh air.

We all know this one, go for a walk, get some fresh air. But it’s not always that simple, if you can, definitely do.  But if not, crack open a window and take a deep breath. If you can spend some time around some plants, even better!

Smell something good of course.

What sort of fragrance brand would we be if we didn’t have this on the list?
Fragrance has been proven to boost the mood with Citrus and Green notes topping the chart of happy smells.
Head over to our Blue Monday collection to view our picks of the best mood boosting fragrances. Or if you haven’t got any of these to give a sniff we’d say grab your fave and give yourself a couple of extra sprays throughout the day.

No such thing as Sunday Best.
Been saving something for ‘the best time’? Here at HOOHAA we don’t believe in saving nice things for special occasions. Whether it’s a fancy bottle of wine or the last few sprays of your favourite perfume, what are you waiting for?? Today’s as good as any and we all need to feel the joy when we can!
Take a break, have a chit-chat.
If you’re going for that walk why not invite a friend? Or, pick up the phone, drop a text and have a chat. A problem shared is a problem halved and we really mean it. There’s no shame in feeling a bit blue and who knows, maybe your person needs a chat as well.
ps. Furry friends count too, here are some of our HOOHAA cats to brighten your day.

Don’t forget, help is out there.
Obviously we know that all of these are no replacement for professional mental health care and support. If you’re struggling, you don’t have to face it alone. Here are a list of organisations who are on hand to help whenever you need it.
