These days launching a perfumer requires a well-balanced juggling act performed whilst on a highwire without a net underneath. Customers want something unique, but it also needs to be wearable enough for them to use an entire bottle and hopefully buy again. They want something long-lasting and present but also spatially conscious and not overpowering. Packaging and bottles have to be aesthetically pleasing enough for social media and also fulfill their function in a way that feels good to use.
Dumbo navigates the balance between all of those just right. Brisk pine, the chilled edge of cardamom and a swirl of black tea lead the way to sandalwood bolstered on resinous olibanum and dry vetiver, accentuated with a smudge of tonka for a comforting warmth.
