Tistar is a fragrant snapshot of one of the brightest stars in the solar system on one of the coldest nights of the year.
It gives a sense of the stars, present in the gentle hum of aldehydes sparkling through Tistar’s top notes. Perfumer Sofia Berdelli does an incredible job of creating a feeling of temperature and atmosphere using mint, eucalyptus and crisp, tenacious citrus notes of yuzu and grapefruit. It smells of winter air, bracingly head-clearing and lung-expanding. It’s so pitch-perfect it leaves you surprised not to see your own breath.
She surrounds this with spikier notes of pine and prickly greens on a bed of biscuity lavender, pale peony and a fluffy cushion of musks. It’s an intriguing juxtaposition that anchors the sweeter elements making this a must-have fragrance.
