Merge is an olfactory snapshot of a sunset walk on the Welsh coast taken by Redolescent’s perfumer Kyle Fearn with his mum during one of the breaks in between lockdowns in 2020. After taking in the beauty of the colours created by the sun as it descended scattered across the sky and sea and how they blended seamlessly with one another, Fearn was inspired to create a perfume that transitioned and flowed in the same way.
Merge plays with time in a really unique way. It captures the essence of a day spent at the beach but during the evening that follows. Smooth, sand-washed woods, radiant amber with just a hint of coconut conjure memories of happy hours spent in the sun, sand and sea.
The custom made cap is reminiscent of a stone smoothed by the sea and washed up on the shore. The moment that inspired the perfume is captured lovingly on the main face. The cap’s smooth and contoured edges are a reminder to see the natural beauty that exists.
