            L’Orée du Bois is inspired by the fabric of a dress designed by Jacques Fath for Rita Hayworth’s wedding trousseau. 

            Its golden colour was the springboard for perfumer Luca Maffei to create an entirely unique ‘gold’ accord that L’Oree du Bois is built around.

            It’s blended with a mix of peppery cumin, saffron and lush cinnamon, forming a rich, lactonic texture edged in warm spices. Bright mimosa, rich orange blossom and voluptuous Australian broom absolute drizzled with honey over a gentle sandalwood base give L’Oree du Bois an understated opulence and quiet luxury that wears as comfortably as a cashmere jumper that made your overdraft scream its safe word.

            Autumn storm is the name given by Jacques Fath to the very short haircut he created for his fetish model Bettina, so that she looks “divine”. Her style was naturalness, freshness and allure.

            These elements are represented through a strong, dominant note of Sandalwood, which has great intensity and soft creamy facets. It opens with bright and sparkling notes of Bergamot, Orange and Mandarin. The signature is a twirl of creamy, woody and sensual notes.
